THE EXPERIENCE

Released on August 21, 2021.

I got the call from bassist and producer Darrius Jamar to record drums for “Shinning Through” on this record. He wanted something lighter than sticks so I experimented with hot rods and the sound fit what artist Alex Banks was looking for. Live drums were recorded at my studio, The Spot, in Orlando, FL

The tune is bit faster than your typical ballad but it isn’t quite a walking tempo. I wanted to play in a way that gave it a lift without getting in the way. The timbre created by the hot rods helped me be a bit more free in my approach to the groove. You can listen to this song and all the records I’ve been a part of on the playlist below!
